Why I should be a card-carrying member?

The advantages of having a Union card are:

• You can vote in any election

o       President and other Executive Board positions

o       Bargaining Committee

o       Collective Agreement

o       Special elections, for example on proposed changes to benefits    

• You can attend all Union meetings
• You can take part in all social functions

• You can take part in any promotions set up by the Public Relations Committee
• Your children can qualify for student bursaries

Membership Card Application

Effective July 1, 2006, the Membership Initiation Fee has been set at zero as per voted on at the General Membership meeting of June 6, 2006.  

Please contact the Union office or your Shop Steward if you do not have a membership card. If a membership card is lost, then a replacement card can be received.
