Three Things to Know

  1. All but one non-monetary items have been discussed.
  2. There are a number of takeaways for each party to respond to in the new year.
  3. Monetary discussions will begin early in the new year.

Meetings Recap

The Bargaining Committee met with the employer on December 12th and 17th, with December 10th being cancelled due to being short-staffed at the Union office.

We've had constructive discussions with the Employer on many non-monetary topics such as investigation findings, probationary periods, short and long-term disability adjudication, and progress has been made on several non-monetary items. Additionally, we are excited to share that all but one non-monetary items from both the Union and the Employer have been initially discussed. Both parties have several takeaways to review and respond to at the next meeting.

We see monetary discussions beginning sometime in the early new year. We know that members want a fair and equitable collective agreement, and we are committed to securing that for members.

We wish you and your loved ones a happy holiday season. We look forward to returning to the table in the new year starting January 10, 2025.

What's Next

Bargaining continues January 10th, 23rd, 30th and February 13th.
